Shooting Targets

The main differences are:
-OBR has the 10 MOA cant top rail, which will assist with longer range applications as the scope can be setup with a higher elevation before sight-in adjustments. (I believe this is how it works, I’m not really 100% sure as I haven’t researched it much). The PredatAR has the standard 0 MOA cant top rail.

-OBR has a heavier barrel profile, the PredatAR has a light-weight barrel profile. The heavier barrel will be able to absorb more heat and will exhibit less flexing while firing and may be better for pure precision applications. The PredatAR’s lighter barrel is great for CQB or competitions where speed is going to be the most important. It is also still extremely accurate as any LaRue Tactical rifle will be. But it shouldn’t be just as consistently accurate as the OBR (at least, on paper).

I think those are pretty much it. Someone more knowledgeable (or those that own both) can drop in and add some more info.

My first impression was do they really work because it was so easy to understand coworkers and intercom pages, so I had to turn the volume off just to compare. They are very comfortable, I have a 50 percent hearing protection loss and this is my fourth Brand that I have purchased, so far these are working the best.

It looks like it wil solve some problems with the battery compartment/contacts, give it a smaller foot print, and use a common battery (CR123 – same as surefire strapped to the rail of the rifle so only 1 kind of spare battery to carry).

Could be a nice improvement.

but I want to get my hands on one to play with. I’ve seen thm on opticsplanet, midwayusa and SKD but I didn’t see them actually in stoc anywhere.

Also, want to see some 3rd party mounts for them.

I’m sure that Scope Mount cost far less than $115 to make.

I feel I got a great deal, because it won’t ever break or come loose.

Also, LaRue Tactical moves a LOT of aimpoint product. I’m sure he gets very good pricing.

Lots of family owned firearms companies can learn about marketing 101.

Finally got my C&R Yugo from the store today. I don’t think this thing has ever been cleaned.Did that SKS Rifle Stocks Bullpup stock ever go anywhere? Does anyone have one? I have an SKS Rifle Stocks that I would like to make a little more interesting.

EDIT:

oh ya and if you have one on your rifle feel free to post pics

I have other slings like the Gear Sector GS-2P, Vickers VCAS, but I use my LaRue-Viking padded sling on my heavy weight carbine to make carrying it more comfortable specially when carrying the carbine for a long period of time.

I prefer to use my LaRue Tactical sling when I’m mainly working with my hands, walking, running or climbing, the weapon stays very secure on my body and that is the main feature I like about this sling which is better than the others.

Here’s a video demonstration of the Viking VTAC two point sling which is same as the LaRue-Viking sling.
